Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Mining, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Cerro Verde (LM:CVE), which rose 4.44% or 1.000 points to trade at 23.500 at the close. Volcan Compania Minera SAA (LM:VOLa) added 3.70% or 0.100 points to end at 2.800 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 3.45% or 0.400 points to 12.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ferreyros (LM:FER), which lost 5.08% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.870 in late trade. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 4.17% or 0.010 points to end at 0.230 and Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) shed 2.58% or 0.300 points to 11.350.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 13 to 11 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.35% or 0.17 to $49.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $51.84 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.75 to trade at $1269.65 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.08% to 3.2430, while EUR/PEN rose 0.06% to 3.5359.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 98.89.
