Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction & Building Materials, Holding Companies and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.95%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS:LHM), which rose 9.94% or 179 points to trade at 1979 at the close. Unimer (CS:UMR) added 5.20% or 8.50 points to end at 172.00 and Colorado (CS:COL) was up 4.84% or 3.00 points to 65.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Agma Lahlou-Tazi (CS:AGMA), which lost 3.62% or 94 points to trade at 2500 in late trade. Total Maroc SA (CS:TMA) declined 3.33% or 50.0 points to end at 1450.0 and S2M (CS:S2M) shed 3.10% or 8.00 points to 250.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 19 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.45% or 0.20 to $44.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.68% or 0.32 to hit $47.24 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 1.77 to trade at $1256.37 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.19% to 10.9310, while USD/MAD fell 0.20% to 9.7699.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 97.19.
