Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Volcan Compania Minera SAA (LM:VOLa), which rose 4.21% or 0.160 points to trade at 3.960 at the close. PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) unchanged 3.64% or 0.00 points to end at 0.06 and Panoro (LM:PML) was up 3.23% or 0.010 points to 0.320 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which lost 4.76% or 0.150 points to trade at 3.000 in late trade. Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) declined 3.90% or 0.030 points to end at 0.740 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) shed 2.94% or 0.020 points to 0.660.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 15 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.59% or 0.29 to $49.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.11% or 0.06 to hit $55.74 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.88% or 11.19 to trade at $1286.09 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2730, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8460.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 93.55.
