Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Real Estate and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO), which rose 5.42% or 0.49 points to trade at 9.53 at the close. Meanwhile, Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) added 2.92% or 0.04 points to end at 1.34 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) was up 2.88% or 10.4 points to 372.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG), which fell 10.66% or 6.35 points to trade at 53.20 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) declined 3.85% or 1.00 points to end at 25.00 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) was down 3.82% or 1.5 points to 37.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 100 to 82 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 5.79% or 2.62 to $47.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 5.06% or 2.54 to hit $52.59 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1133.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.39% to 9.3056, while USD/NOK rose 0.27% to 8.3109.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 96.11.
