Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining, Banking & Financials and S&P Lima Juniors sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.89% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which rose 4.08% or 0.290 points to trade at 7.400 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferreyros (LM:FER) added 4.00% or 0.050 points to end at 1.300 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was up 2.58% or 0.004 points to 0.159 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which fell 5.81% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.430 at the close. Enersur SA (LM:ENE) declined 2.65% or 0.200 points to end at 7.350 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was down 2.19% or 0.090 points to 4.010.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 9 to 8 and 14 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 5.21% or 2.41 to $48.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 5.57% or 2.75 to hit $51.99 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.79% or 9.00 to trade at $1146.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.09% to 3.2215, while EUR/PEN fell 0.41% to 3.6100.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.72% at 95.53.
