Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Property, Mining & Oil and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 1.37%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Petron (PS:PCOR), which rose 2.89% or 0.230 points to trade at 8.190 at the close. Meanwhile, Aboitiz Equity (PS:AEV) added 1.22% or 0.700 points to end at 58.000 and San Miguel Cor (PS:SMC) was up 0.70% or 0.350 points to 50.350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which fell 4.62% or 0.300 points to trade at 6.200 at the close. Sm Prime Hldgs (PS:SMPH) declined 3.34% or 0.750 points to end at 21.700 and Dmci Holdings (PS:DMC) was down 3.28% or 0.420 points to 12.380.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 116 to 65 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.45% or 17.10 to $1159.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.37% or 0.63 to hit $45.31 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.19% or 0.58 to trade at $48.47 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.36% to 7.3976, while USD/PHP rose 0.33% to 47.030.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 97.62.
