Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Transport and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Snep (CS:SNP), which rose 10.00% or 8.36 points to trade at 91.96 at the close. Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) added 6.32% or 3.51 points to end at 59.00 and Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI) was up 5.95% or 82 points to 1458 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lafarge Ciments (CS:LAC), which lost 4.63% or 95 points to trade at 1955 in late trade. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) declined 4.05% or 2.39 points to end at 56.51 and Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) shed 3.55% or 48 points to 1302.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 18 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.05% or 1.36 to $46.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 3.67% or 1.67 to hit $47.19 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.76% or 9.60 to trade at $1274.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.18% to 10.9860, while USD/MAD fell 0.18% to 9.6091.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.53% at 93.72.
