Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 2.03% or 2.10 points to trade at 105.50 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 1.41% or 2.10 points to end at 150.80 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was up 0.38% or 0.7 points to 185.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb), which lost 1.55% or 4.0 points to trade at 253.8 in late trade. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) declined 1.48% or 2.1 points to end at 139.5 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 1.47% or 0.39 points to 26.11.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 327 to 254 and 64 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.94% or 0.83 to $41.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.76% or 0.79 to hit $44.19 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.39% or 5.25 to trade at $1351.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.19% to 9.4678, while USD/SEK fell 0.71% to 8.4749.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.44% at 95.64.
