Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Involys (CS:INV), which rose 7.69% or 9.00 points to trade at 126.00 at the close. Meanwhile, S2M (CS:S2M) added 5.98% or 10.95 points to end at 194.00 and Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM) was up 5.93% or 70 points to 1250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alliances (CS:ADI), which fell 6.00% or 3 points to trade at 46 at the close. Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) declined 5.98% or 8.45 points to end at 132.70 and BMCI (CS:BMCI) was down 5.93% or 35 points to 555.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 22 to 14 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) fell to all time lows; down 5.98% or 8.45 to 132.70. Shares in BMCI (CS:BMCI) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.93% or 35 to 555.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.22% or 0.10 to $45.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.43% or 0.20 to hit $48.44 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.10% or 12.40 to trade at $1114.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.30% to 10.8750, while USD/MAD rose 0.47% to 9.7390.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.44% at 96.49.
