Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Biomed, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 1.66%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 5.42% or 168 points to trade at 3270 at the close. Meanwhile, Avner L (TA:AVNRp) added 3.55% or 7.0 points to end at 204.1 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) was up 3.38% or 610 points to 18650 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which fell 1.35% or 72 points to trade at 5270 at the close. Leumi (TA:LUMI) declined 0.23% or 3 points to end at 1298 and Osem (TA:OSEM) was down 0.06% or 4 points to 6200.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 257 to 63 and 133 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 9.21% or 2.72 to $32.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $32.84 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1098.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.17% to 3.9827, while EUR/ILS fell 0.51% to 4.3000.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.46% at 99.60.
