Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, S&P Lima Juniors and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which rose 6.67% or 0.025 points to trade at 0.400 at the close. Meanwhile, Sider (LM:SID) added 4.00% or 0.005 points to end at 0.130 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was up 3.63% or 0.070 points to 2.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which fell 5.88% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.320 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 5.56% or 0.008 points to end at 0.136 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was down 3.53% or 0.150 points to 4.100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 13 to 9 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.67% or 0.32 to $46.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.14% or 0.56 to hit $49.19 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.10% or 12.30 to trade at $1131.30 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.03% to 3.1995, while EUR/PEN rose 0.18% to 3.6166.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.94% at 94.60.
