Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Developers sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which rose 3.70% or 2.47 points to trade at 69.27 at the close. Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) added 3.42% or 1.05 points to end at 31.75 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) was up 2.07% or 2.32 points to 114.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN), which lost 2.29% or 0.15 points to trade at 6.41 in late trade. Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA:PEO) declined 1.71% or 2.29 points to end at 131.53 and Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) shed 1.36% or 0.92 points to 66.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 254 to 241 and 199 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.96% or 0.44 to $46.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.13% or 0.54 to hit $48.40 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.67% or 8.54 to trade at $1270.96 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.38% to 4.1820, while USD/PLN fell 0.19% to 3.7360.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 97.27.
