Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 3.35%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HEL:NRE1V), which fell 1.52% or 0.42 points to trade at 27.21 at the close. Meanwhile, Elisa Oyj (HEL:ELI1V) fell 2.05% or 0.62 points to end at 29.56 and Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOKIA) was down 2.09% or 0.125 points to 5.845 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which fell 24.44% or 0.7880 points to trade at 2.4360 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V) declined 9.63% or 0.408 points to end at 3.830 and Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE) was down 8.73% or 2.06 points to 21.54.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 157 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) fell to 3-years lows; down 24.44% or 0.7880 to 2.4360. Shares in Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V) fell to 5-year lows; losing 9.63% or 0.408 to 3.830.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.85% or 0.91 to $48.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.22% or 1.51 to hit $45.45 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.72% or 8.10 to trade at $1124.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.60% to 1.1123, while EUR/GBP rose 0.30% to 0.7236.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.47% at 96.48.
