Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , Glass and Auto sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted declined 1.17% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Lelon Eltr (TW:2472), which rose 9.90% or 2.55 points to trade at 28.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Sunrace (TW:1526) added 9.84% or 1.25 points to end at 13.95 and Cameo (TW:6142) was up 9.82% or 0.44 points to 4.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tsrc (TW:2103), which fell 9.98% or 2.30 points to trade at 20.75 at the close. Clevo (TW:2362) declined 9.94% or 3.45 points to end at 31.25 and Yoko Tech (TW:6131) was down 9.83% or 2.00 points to 18.35.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 614 to 223 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.40% or 0.17 to $41.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.28% or 0.12 to hit $45.29 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.16% or 1.70 to trade at $1082.70 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.45% to 32.748, while TWD/CNY fell 0.31% to 0.1956.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 98.82.
