Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Energy and Media sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.86%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which fell 0.63% or 0.9 points to trade at 142.2 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) fell 0.75% or 1.00 points to end at 131.70 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was down 1.01% or 2.9 points to 284.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 7.49% or 1.39 points to trade at 17.16 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 6.30% or 1.5 points to end at 22.3 and Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) shed 5.88% or 1.72 points to 27.51.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 141 to 37 and 17 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.43% or 0.20 to $46.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.45% or 0.22 to hit $49.45 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.48% or 6.45 to trade at $1350.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.36% to 9.2746, while USD/NOK rose 0.46% to 8.2309.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 94.85.
