Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Auto & components and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.82%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Storebrand ASA (OSLO:STB), which rose 5.87% or 1.60 points to trade at 28.87 at the close. Meanwhile, Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) added 4.65% or 0.5 points to end at 11.2 and Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) was up 4.04% or 0.06 points to 1.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO), which fell 1.48% or 0.14 points to trade at 9.02 at the close. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS) declined 1.40% or 2.2 points to end at 155.0 and Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) was down 0.55% or 0.27 points to 48.99.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 129 to 47 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.55% or 0.27 to 48.99.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.30% or 0.14 to $45.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.60% or 1.72 to hit $49.34 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.25% or 2.80 to trade at $1124.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.97% to 9.2069, while USD/NOK fell 1.01% to 8.2390.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 96.01.
