Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Insurance and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo), which rose 1.23% or 9.0 points to trade at 741.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG) added 0.47% or 0.25 points to end at 54.00 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS) was up 0.45% or 0.7 points to 157.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which fell 3.88% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.36 at the close. Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) declined 3.32% or 1.64 points to end at 47.76 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) was down 2.80% or 0.94 points to 32.64.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 99 to 73 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.26% or 1.50 to $44.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 3.40% or 1.69 to hit $47.92 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.29% or 3.20 to trade at $1118.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.28% to 9.2886, while USD/NOK rose 0.06% to 8.3157.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 96.14.
