Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Mining, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 2.67% to hit a new 3-years low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 2.44% or 0.002 points to trade at 0.084 at the close. Meanwhile, Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) unchanged 0% or 0 points to end at 0.175 and Inversiones Centenario SAA (LM:ICE) was unchanged 0% or 0 points to 6.100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which fell 13.79% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.05 at the close. Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) declined 10.88% or 1.740 points to end at 14.250 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was down 10.59% or 0.360 points to 3.040.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 29 to 1 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) fell to 3-years lows; down 10.88% or 1.740 to 14.250. Shares in Inversiones Centenario SAA (LM:ICE) unchanged to 52-week lows; unchanged 0% or 0 to 6.100. Shares in Casa Grande (LM:CSG) fell to 3-years lows; losing 10.59% or 0.360 to 3.040.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.48% or 1.02 to $40.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.69% or 1.25 to hit $45.37 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.50% or 5.80 to trade at $1159.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.19% to 3.2698, while EUR/PEN rose 1.25% to 3.6909.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.85% at 94.95.
