Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Holding Companies, Construction & Building Materials and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 1.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Maroc Leasing (CS:MLE), which rose 5.99% or 20.85 points to trade at 368.65 at the close. Meanwhile, SMI (CS:SMI) added 5.98% or 142 points to end at 2513 and Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) was up 5.66% or 60 points to 1120 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ib Maroc.Com (CS:IBMC), which fell 5.99% or 6.80 points to trade at 106.70 at the close. BMCI (CS:BMCI) declined 5.08% or 30 points to end at 560 and CDM (CS:CDM) was down 5.00% or 23 points to 437.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 18 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in CDM (CS:CDM) fell to 5-year lows; losing 5.00% or 23 to 437.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.26% or 1.05 to $45.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.09% or 0.54 to hit $48.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.59% or 6.60 to trade at $1131.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.10% to 10.8730, while USD/MAD fell 0.30% to 9.7413.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 96.43.
