Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.99% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 9.64% or 0.318 points to trade at 3.618 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 4.67% or 1.08 points to end at 24.22 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 3.89% or 0.38 points to 10.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 5.51% or 0.1800 points to trade at 3.0880 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 0.65% or 0.21 points to end at 32.03 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was down 0.56% or 0.19 points to 33.87.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 115 to 69 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 3.31% or 1.68 to $48.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.90% or 1.39 to hit $46.51 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.15% or 1.70 to trade at $1112.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.96% to 1.0859, while EUR/GBP fell 0.70% to 0.7060.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.80% at 98.03.
