Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Real Estate Development and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 1.30%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Anb Insurance (SE:8011), which rose 9.57% or 4.50 points to trade at 51.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Steel Pipe Company (SE:1320) added 3.90% or 0.90 points to end at 24.00 and Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050) was up 2.45% or 0.35 points to 14.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Printing & Packaging Company (SE:4270), which fell 11.22% or 3.30 points to trade at 26.10 at the close. Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. (SE:2300) declined 9.93% or 2.20 points to end at 19.95 and Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SE:4210) was down 9.82% or 5.50 points to 50.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 140 to 26.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.21% or 0.89 to $39.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.62% or 0.69 to hit $42.30 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.24% or 2.60 to trade at $1081.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.63% to 4.0572, while USD/SAR fell 0.04% to 3.7525.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.56% at 98.83.
