Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Holding Companies and Beverage sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.80%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which rose 10.00% or 5.00 points to trade at 55.00 at the close. Eqdom (CS:EQDM) added 6.00% or 44 points to end at 784 and Saham Assurance (CS:SAH) was up 5.99% or 56 points to 986 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jet Contractors (CS:JET), which lost 6.00% or 11.70 points to trade at 183.30 in late trade. Managem (CS:MNG) declined 6.00% or 35 points to end at 555 and Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) shed 6.00% or 9.60 points to 150.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 30 to 19 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.91% or 0.30 to $33.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.79% or 0.63 to hit $35.92 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.49% or 18.40 to trade at $1220.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.40% to 10.7920, while USD/MAD rose 0.47% to 9.8721.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.70% at 98.12.
