Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Communication and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.20% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Melisron (TA:MLSR), which rose 2.84% or 390 points to trade at 14110 at the close. Meanwhile, Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 1.91% or 300 points to end at 16010 and Poalim (TA:POLI) was up 1.90% or 40 points to 2145 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which fell 5.09% or 6700 points to trade at 125000 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 3.93% or 101 points to end at 2468 and Strauss Group (TA:STRS) was down 1.14% or 68 points to 5882.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 182 to 154 and 112 ended unchanged.
Shares in Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.09% or 6700 to 125000. Shares in ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) fell to 5-year lows; losing 3.93% or 101 to 2468.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.42% or 0.67 to $46.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.58% or 1.34 to hit $50.87 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.34% or 3.70 to trade at $1091.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.20% to 3.7674, while EUR/ILS fell 0.27% to 4.1339.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 97.42.
