Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 2.04%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which rose 1.27% or 7.0 points to trade at 557.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 0.31% or 0.8 points to end at 256.5 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was down 0.63% or 0.8 points to 126.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which fell 4.13% or 3.70 points to trade at 85.90 at the close. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) declined 3.87% or 6.2 points to end at 154.1 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) was down 3.62% or 7.7 points to 205.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 297 to 142 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.39% or 1.59 to $45.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.11% or 1.03 to hit $48.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.78% or 19.90 to trade at $1136.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.15% to 9.3272, while USD/SEK rose 0.50% to 8.2096.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.31% at 94.92.
