Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 5.48% or 0.0008 points to trade at 0.0154 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 2.34% or 0.198 points to end at 8.660 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 1.19% or 0.0080 points to 0.6810 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which lost 1.25% or 0.0770 points to trade at 6.0650 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 0.97% or 0.1150 points to end at 11.7250 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) shed 0.94% or 0.1450 points to 15.3300.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 32 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 3.23% or 1.50 to $47.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.55% or 1.58 to hit $46.06 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.18% or 2.35 to trade at $1344.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.25% to 1.1255, while EUR/GBP rose 0.12% to 0.8677.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 95.19.
