Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Utilities and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 0.50% or 1.2 points to trade at 240.9 at the close. Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) added 0.38% or 0.5 points to end at 133.1 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) was up 0.26% or 0.15 points to 57.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 37.80% or 5.28 points to trade at 8.69 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 1.91% or 3.50 points to end at 180.20 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) shed 1.67% or 2.3 points to 135.1.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 108 to 67 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.47% or 0.74 to $50.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.73% or 0.92 to hit $54.04 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 3.55 to trade at $1257.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.13% to 9.1635, while USD/NOK rose 0.18% to 8.5936.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 100.50.
