Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.30% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 1.84% or 0.61 points to trade at 33.68 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) added 1.15% or 2.8 points to end at 246.0 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was up 1.04% or 1.3 points to 126.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which lost 0.88% or 1.40 points to trade at 157.80 in late trade. Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) declined 0.79% or 1.7 points to end at 212.3 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) shed 0.69% or 3.5 points to 501.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 374 to 222 and 62 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.81% or 0.37 to $45.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.71% or 0.33 to hit $46.16 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.63% or 7.70 to trade at $1209.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.10% to 9.8057, while USD/SEK rose 0.24% to 9.2551.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.33% at 101.33.
