Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Retail, Hotels & Tourism and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.73%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi United Cooperative Insurance (SE:8060), which rose 7.72% or 1.85 points to trade at 25.80 at the close. SABB Takaful (SE:8080) added 7.30% or 2.00 points to end at 29.40 and Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co (SE:8160) was up 6.44% or 0.75 points to 12.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Arabian Cement Co (SE:3010), which lost 7.93% or 3.30 points to trade at 38.30 in late trade. The National Shipping Co. (SE:4030) declined 6.24% or 2.60 points to end at 39.10 and Trade Union Cooperative Insurance (SE:8170) shed 3.76% or 0.70 points to 17.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 130 to 35 and 6 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.64% or 0.86 to $53.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.32% or 0.74 to hit $56.60 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.46% or 17.45 to trade at $1213.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.81% to 4.0081, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.91% at 100.61.
