Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Food & Beverages and Mining sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 3.37% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.920 at the close. Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) added 2.43% or 0.280 points to end at 11.800 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 2.35% or 0.020 points to 0.870 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Atacocha (LM:ATB), which lost 3.23% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.300 in late trade. Ferreyros (LM:FER) declined 2.44% or 0.050 points to end at 2.000 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) shed 2.30% or 0.060 points to 2.550.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 10 and 12 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.28% or 0.14 to $50.71 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.11% or 0.06 to hit $52.95 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1283.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2445, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.4854.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 99.71.
