Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 2.81% or 0.1590 points to trade at 5.8090 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) added 1.64% or 0.0710 points to end at 4.4000 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 1.06% or 0.0280 points to 2.6580 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 4.84% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.2750 in late trade. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) declined 3.27% or 0.380 points to end at 11.225 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) shed 2.35% or 0.0054 points to 0.2246.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 17 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.59% or 0.29 to $48.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.43% or 0.20 to hit $46.02 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.66 to trade at $1227.56 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.60% to 1.0932, while EUR/GBP fell 0.22% to 0.8454.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 98.98.
