Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Services and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were B. Sabadell (MC:SABE), which rose 3.69% or 0.068 points to trade at 1.912 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) added 3.24% or 0.705 points to end at 22.470 and Bankia SA (MC:BKIA) was up 2.79% or 0.120 points to 4.413 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ferrovial (MC:FER), which lost 2.08% or 0.390 points to trade at 18.410 in late trade. Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) declined 1.45% or 0.335 points to end at 22.760 and Indra A (MC:IDR) shed 0.89% or 0.120 points to 13.300.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 112 to 64 and 18 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.32% or 4.05 to $1250.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 3.34% or 1.55 to hit $47.89 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 3.09% or 1.50 to trade at $50.10 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1654, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8940.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 93.83.
