Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Communication and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Avner L (TA:AVNRp), which rose 8.09% or 16.4 points to trade at 219.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) added 7.60% or 79 points to end at 1118 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) was up 6.00% or 3800 points to 67140 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva (TA:TEVA), which fell 4.88% or 1230 points to trade at 23950 at the close. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) declined 4.21% or 2460 points to end at 55910 and Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) was down 0.51% or 16 points to 3099.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 232 to 96 and 126 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.20% or 0.71 to $33.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.76% or 0.94 to hit $34.87 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1115.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.54% to 3.9532, while EUR/ILS fell 0.13% to 4.3237.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 98.63.
