Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which rose 7.74% or 0.460 points to trade at 6.400 at the close. Banca Popolare Milano (MI:PMII) added 3.56% or 0.0145 points to end at 0.4221 and Saipem (MI:SPMI) was up 3.22% or 0.0133 points to 0.4260 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mediaset (MI:MS), which lost 6.93% or 0.224 points to trade at 3.006 in late trade. Luxottica Group (MI:LUX) declined 4.03% or 1.82 points to end at 43.32 and Mediobanca (MI:MDBI) shed 2.34% or 0.140 points to 5.850.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 205 to 174 and 32 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.02% or 0.44 to $42.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $44.92 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1327.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.0988, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8367.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 97.17.
