Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Storebrand ASA (OL:STB), which rose 3.97% or 1.30 points to trade at 34.04 at the close. Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) added 2.90% or 1.50 points to end at 53.25 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 1.03% or 0.30 points to 29.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 7.30% or 0.12 points to trade at 1.56 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 5.16% or 1.3 points to end at 24.4 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) shed 3.45% or 0.3 points to 8.4.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 67 and 27 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.96% or 0.84 to $41.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.80% or 0.81 to hit $44.17 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.38% or 5.15 to trade at $1351.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 1.01% to 9.2502, while USD/NOK fell 1.52% to 8.2799.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.44% at 95.64.
