Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Agriculture and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.15% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which rose 1.91% or 520.0 points to trade at 27700.0 at the close. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) added 1.27% or 320.0 points to end at 25500.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was up 1.02% or 25.0 points to 2480.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 2.82% or 270.0 points to trade at 9320.0 in late trade. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) declined 1.24% or 50.0 points to end at 3990.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) shed 1.21% or 15.0 points to 1220.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 10 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.29% or 0.40 to $139.00 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.82% or 25.50 to hit $3092.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.92% or 12.50 to trade at $1344.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.85% to 2857.75, while BRL/COP fell 0.82% to 891.71.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.37% at 94.46.
