Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Public Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.42% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which rose 2.41% or 45.0 points to trade at 1910.0 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) added 2.21% or 240.0 points to end at 11100.0 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 2.13% or 620.0 points to 29760.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etb (CN:ETB), which lost 0.63% or 4.0 points to trade at 636.0 in late trade. Conconcret (CN:CIC) declined 0.61% or 6.0 points to end at 980.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) shed 0.22% or 10.0 points to 4485.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 5 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.79% or 1.08 to $136.93 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 4.61% or 86.00 to hit $1951.50 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 0.55 to trade at $1227.45 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.59% to 2962.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.04% to 927.10.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 99.00.
