Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.21% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 5.08% or 0.180 points to trade at 3.724 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 4.45% or 0.28 points to end at 6.68 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 3.09% or 0.98 points to 32.65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which lost 0.54% or 0.20 points to trade at 37.08 in late trade. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 0.53% or 0.13 points to end at 24.53 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) shed 0.29% or 0.07 points to 24.28.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 122 to 49 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 1.17% or 0.59 to $51.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.80% or 0.40 to hit $50.09 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.10% or 1.25 to trade at $1246.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.1349, while EUR/GBP fell 0.85% to 0.7796.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 93.91.
