At the market open in Toronto, the TSX Composite Index fell 0.03%. The TSX Venture and the TSX Smallcap were up. The TSX Venture climbed 0.38%, while the Smallcap was up by 0.54%.
- BlackBerry (TSX:BB): Climbed 6.83% or 0.55 points to 8.60.
- Interfor Corp (TSX:IFP): Increased 4.77% or 0.80 points to 17.58.
- Intl Petroleum (TSX:IPCO): Rose 3.57% or 0.69 points to 20.01.
- Fortuna Mining (TSX:FVI): Dropped 6.22% or 0.46 points to 6.86.
- Air Canada (TSX:AC): Fell 4.17% or 0.74 points to 17.01.
- Paramount Resources (TSX:POU): Declined 3.21% or 0.57 points to 17.31.
In Commodities Trading:
- April Brent Oil Contract climbed by 0.33% or 0.25 points to 75.47 a barrel.
- Crude Oil for April delivery rose 0.75 points to 71.46 a barrel.
- Gold Futures for April delivery increased by 42.86 points to 2,943.56 a troy ounce.
Currency Markets:
- USD/CAD is stable at 1.4198.
- EUR/CAD is trading at 1.4844.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 106.845.
