CANADA STOCKS-Futures up but trade war concerns limit gains

Oct 30 (Reuters) - Futures for Canada's main stock index rose on Tuesday, but gains were capped by concerns over another escalation in the U.S.-China tariff dispute.

December futures on the S&P/TSX index SXFc1 were up 0.41 percent at 7:00 a.m. ET.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX .GSPTSE closed down 166.51 points, or 1.12 percent, to 14,721.75 on Monday. President Donald Trump said he thinks there will be "a great deal" with China on trade, but warned that he has billions of dollars worth of new tariffs ready to go if a deal isn't possible. comments came after a Bloomberg report that the United States was preparing to announce tariffs on all remaining Chinese imports by early December if talks next month falter.

Dow Jones Industrial Average e-mini futures 1YMc1 were up 0.17 percent at 7:10 a.m. ET, while S&P 500 e-mini futures ESc1 were up 0.22 percent and Nasdaq 100 e-mini futures NQc1 were up 0.05 percent. .N
