July 18 (Reuters) - Futures pointed to a higher opening for Canada's main stock index on Thursday, as oil prices gained after Iran said it had seized a foreign tanker smuggling fuel in the Gulf. futures on the S&P/TSX index SXFc1 edged up 0.05% at 7:00 a.m. ET.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX .GSPTSE fell 18.21 points, or 0.11%, to 16,484.21 on Wednesday. Jones Industrial Average e-mini futures 1YMc1 were down 0.05% at 7:00 a.m. ET, while S&P 500 e-mini futures ESc1 were down 0.04% and Nasdaq 100 e-mini futures NQc1 were down 0.16%. .N
