Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which rose 5.51% or 2.18 points to trade at 41.75 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 2.36% or 0.77 points to end at 33.40 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.70% or 0.58 points to 34.73 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which lost 1.64% or 0.64 points to trade at 38.31 in late trade. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 1.55% or 0.40 points to end at 25.36 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) shed 1.10% or 0.40 points to 36.04.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 94 to 80 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 3.92% or 1.64 to $43.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 4.13% or 1.63 to hit $41.14 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.60% or 8.25 to trade at $1364.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.67% to 1.1149, while EUR/GBP fell 0.37% to 0.8373.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.51% at 95.50.
