Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.81% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 1.13% or 0.47 points to trade at 41.90 at the close. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 0.91% or 0.034 points to end at 3.752 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 0.56% or 0.18 points to 32.26 in late trade.
Biggest losers included UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V), which lost 12.28% or 2.94 points to trade at 21.00 in late trade. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 3.66% or 0.400 points to end at 10.520 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 3.12% or 0.79 points to 24.57.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 38 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 1.64% or 0.91 to $56.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.46% or 0.77 to hit $53.40 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.34% or 16.05 to trade at $1212.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.80% to 1.0781, while EUR/GBP rose 0.14% to 0.8576.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.74% at 99.68.
