Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.57% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (BS:GETIBs), which rose 4.23% or 6.3 points to trade at 155.4 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 1.04% or 2.00 points to end at 194.30 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) was up 0.90% or 2.2 points to 245.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 3.60% or 1.26 points to trade at 33.74 in late trade. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) declined 2.61% or 27.0 points to end at 1007.0 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) shed 2.36% or 1.27 points to 52.58.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 362 to 227 and 74 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.70% or 0.89 to $53.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.96% or 1.08 to hit $56.18 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.37% or 4.45 to trade at $1201.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.50% to 9.5043, while USD/SEK fell 1.23% to 8.9149.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.68% at 101.01.
