Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which rose 2.18% or 0.82 points to trade at 38.52 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 1.65% or 0.54 points to end at 33.18 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 1.39% or 0.40 points to 29.17 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Valmt (HE:VALMT), which lost 3.13% or 0.46 points to trade at 14.22 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) declined 2.01% or 0.28 points to end at 13.66 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 0.62% or 0.0450 points to 7.2650.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 122 to 62 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.84% or 0.39 to $47.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.81% or 0.37 to hit $45.94 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.13% or 1.55 to trade at $1225.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.0657, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.8554.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 100.66.
