Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining, Food & Beverages and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 5.33% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.790 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 2.64% or 0.350 points to end at 13.590 and Inversiones Centenario SAA (LM:ICE) was up 1.89% or 0.100 points to 5.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which lost 3.68% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.183 in late trade. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 2.94% or 0.010 points to end at 0.330 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) shed 2.70% or 0.500 points to 18.000.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 13 to 11 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.38% or 1.20 to $49.32 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $50.26 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.84% or 10.65 to trade at $1274.35 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3565, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6522.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 98.69.
