Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Software & Computer Services and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT), which rose 7.47% or 2.30 points to trade at 33.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) added 3.55% or 2.40 points to end at 70.00 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OSLO:GJFS) was up 3.49% or 4.5 points to 133.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aker Solutions OL (OSLO:AKSOL), which fell 4.85% or 2.02 points to trade at 39.63 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OSLO:SUBC) declined 4.14% or 3.1 points to end at 73.0 and DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) was down 3.26% or 0.32 points to 9.35.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 92 to 81 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.34% or 1.24 to $51.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.83% or 1.07 to hit $57.60 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.78% or 9.00 to trade at $1144.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.17% to 8.9357, while USD/NOK rose 0.59% to 8.1504.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 97.25.
