Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.79% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 4.16% or 0.91 points to trade at 22.81 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) added 3.25% or 4.8 points to end at 152.7 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 2.59% or 0.99 points to 39.24 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which lost 0.78% or 1.40 points to trade at 178.20 in late trade. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) declined 0.05% or 0.1 points to end at 211.0 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) gained 0.15% or 0.3 points to 198.9.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 485 to 259 and 65 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.17% or 0.09 to $51.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.58% or 0.33 to hit $56.83 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.20 to trade at $1287.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.74% to 9.6323, while USD/SEK rose 0.53% to 8.1556.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 92.98.
