Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 2.82% or 0.320 points to trade at 11.660 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 2.25% or 0.0049 points to end at 0.2229 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 1.64% or 0.0440 points to 2.7290 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which lost 1.64% or 0.0890 points to trade at 5.3270 in late trade. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 0.91% or 0.0290 points to end at 3.1690 and Sonae (LS:YSO) shed 0.65% or 0.0060 points to 0.9180.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 9 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.42% or 0.23 to $53.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.43% or 0.22 to hit $51.25 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 4.02 to trade at $1251.48 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1178, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.8645.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 97.32.
