Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 2.69% or 0.95 points to trade at 36.29 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 0.98% or 0.055 points to end at 5.690 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 0.89% or 0.42 points to 47.87 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which lost 2.44% or 1.14 points to trade at 45.55 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 1.79% or 0.26 points to end at 14.24 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) shed 1.71% or 0.57 points to 32.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 107 to 33 and 12 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.78% or 0.40 to $50.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.62% or 0.30 to hit $47.94 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 3.55 to trade at $1250.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.0812, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.8662.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 99.40.
