Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Sports and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.90%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ayen Enerji AS (IS:AYEN), which rose 3.44% or 0.150 points to trade at 4.510 at the close. Nurol Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:NUGYO) added 2.56% or 0.120 points to end at 4.800 and Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO) was up 1.68% or 0.050 points to 3.020 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL), which lost 8.68% or 1.83 points to trade at 19.25 in late trade. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 6.32% or 0.180 points to end at 2.670 and Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) shed 4.65% or 1.48 points to 30.32.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 257 to 86 and 64 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.57% or 19.99 to $1255.91 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.45% or 0.20 to hit $44.53 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.15% or 0.07 to trade at $46.93 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.79% to 3.5150, while EUR/TRY rose 0.21% to 3.9213.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 97.47.
